Louisville metro police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Stop N Go Smokes & Liquor, near the intersection of University Boulevard and Crittenden Drive. The convenience store is across the street from the Clubhouse Apartments.

Major Aaron Graham from the University of Louisville Police Department said a woman was attempting to shoplift from the store when she was confronted by employees. She attacked with a sharp instrument before running away in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.

Graham said because the perpetrator attacked with a weapon, the crime was classified as an armed robbery instead of shoplifting.

A rave alert informed students of the incident at noon Feb. 24.
