No. 22 Louisville out-paces the New Hampshire Wildcats for another no-doubt victory.

Benches cleared

Louisville put their foot down right out of the gate and never lifted it.

The Cards went on a 35-4 run from the opening tip to the beginning of the second quarter. The longest scoring drought of the run lasted over eight minutes.

After New Hampshire finally broke the streak, they were able to more or less hold serve with the Cards.

But the damage was already done.

Louisville led 48-14 at halftime.

The highlight of the second half came early in the third when Tajianna Roberts scored layups on breakaway steals on back-to-back possessions.

By that point Jeff Walz emptied the bench.

Skylar Jones took on a larger role as an offensive option late in the game.

Peyton Bradley, Reagan Bender and Yevheniia Putra all looked solid in garbage time.

Louisville won 94-43.

Call off the birds

Louisville could have picked their score Sunday.

New Hampshire was simply in a different league than the Cards and they could not compete.

Roberts had a great day, leading the starters with 15 points, five assists and four steals.

Jones led the bench with 15 points herself and seven rebounds.

This is by far the easiest opponent the Cards will face all season, with their final bye game coming against Ball State Wednesday.

But still, it’s great to see U of L get out to fast starts regardless of the level of competition.

Louisville is now 8-3 on the season.
