U of L also had great defense against West Georgia with the help of freshman forward/center Roosevelt Wheeler, who made a key defensive rebound early in the game. This led Louisville to a score of 54-28 going into halftime.
During the second half, Louisville continued to play at their best. Wheeler was able to make eight points during the second half, as well as junior forward Samuell Williamson who made six points.
