Medical school taken off probation

U of L’s medical school, which was placed on probation in March, has been taken off of probation by its accrediting body, the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

The main concerns which led to the initial probation were the condition of the preclinical instructional building and pace of preclinical curricular change.  U of was required to enact new policies and show signs of necessary changes in order to be moved off of probation.

It’s next accreditation is in 2017.
