The Louisville Cardinal volleyball team took down the No. 2 seed, Cincinnati Bearcats, Sunday afternoon at the Kentucky International Convention Center for their second Big East Title in four years. The Cards prevailed in four sets 25-22, 25-21, 22-25, and 25-20.
The Cardinals were led by Big East Freshman Player of the Year, Lola Arslanbekova who had a tournament record 25 kills improved their overall record to 20-10 on the season. Arslanbekova also added the Big East Tournament MVP award to her growing collection of individual achievements.
With the victory Louisville earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Volleyball Tournament beginning Friday, Dec. 4. The NCAA Volleyball selection show will be held Sunday, Nov. 8, and will reveal when and where the Cards will be playing their first round match.
