The University of Louisville baseball team’s season ended Saturday in California, as the Cards lost to Cal State Fullerton 11-2.
U of L advanced to the super regional matchup, by beating Vanderbilt in Louisville last Monday. However, Cal State Fullerton, the second-ranked team in the tournament proved too much for the Cards to handle, sweeping them in the best-of-three series.
Chris Dominguez tied the all-time home run record at U of L with two home runs Saturday, putting him at 25 for the season. Neither he, nor number-one pitcher Justin Marks are expected to return next season.
