On September 3rd, two cars driving in the intersection of Second St. and Ormsby collided. This collision caused one of the cars, a red SUV, to jump over the curb, over a concrete retaining wall and up an incline into a house. The red SUV was being driven by a young female. The other vehicle involved was a tan mini van carrying 4 men and one young boy. The driver of the SUV was able to get out of her car and wait on the curb for the emergency workers to arrive.
Of the 5 people in the van only two of them were able to get out of the car with out help from the fire department. Everyone involved in the wreck was taken to the hospital in neck braces and on back boards. All of the victims were off the scene headed to the hospital in less than half an hour, which is a great tribute to the efficiency of the city of Louisville emergency crews.
