By Makayla Moore — It’s been a while since I’ve actually bought a ticket for a new film and been to the theatre to see it. I’m so used to using my Netflix account (getting a friend’s password) or waiting until great films get put into the nearest Redbox movie rental machine. My college student funds won’t allow me to spend extra money. Renting a movie for $1.00 sounds a lot better than buying an $8.00 movie ticket. Total savings: $7.00.

Surprisingly, things have changed this summer. It looks like I’ll be trying to save money so I can make my way into theaters. Don’t you hate being the last of your friends to see a great film? It never fails for me. I’m always the one sitting there, rolling my eyes, while they talk about their favorite part. So I have to make it when each movie debuts.

I’m sure I’ll be debating on whether or not I should buy a high priced Icee, along with high priced popcorn, but that’s beside the point. This summer will debut sequels and a few new films. Here’s a list of the top 5 films set to come out each month, which I think will be worthwhile. They’re in no particular order.
