Louisville will host its first home game under head coach Jeff Brohm— and under the newly named L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium— against in-state foe, the Murray State Racers. Murray, being an FCS opponent, should be a cakewalk for the Cardinals as they attempt to right some of the wrongs from the season opener.
There are plenty of things for the Cards to work on, and Coach Brohm would be the first to tell you that. During his post-game press conference in Atlanta Brohm said, “I made too many mistakes. There’s a lot of things we’ve got to clean up.” The offense will try to correct some of the woes in the red zone, including quarterback Jack Plummer’s easy misfires. On defense, the Cards will try to keep the momentum from the second half and avoid the mistakes from that second quarter against Georgia Tech, which saw the Yellow Jackets rack up 282 yards in one quarter.
This should be an easy win for the Cards, but an important game for the course of the season (and, of course, don’t forget to wear black).
