On the night of October 9th, people crowded Zanzibar (alternatively known as Z Bar) to listen to up and coming artist, Willy Mason. Mason’s voice enveloped the dimly lit bar with a southern rock/country tone.

People surrounded the stage, drinks in hand, soaking up his smooth voice.  With heads bobbing to the music and feet tapping, Mason sang many songs while strumming his guitar. Mason was singing solo while accompanying his vocals with an electric guitar.

Mason emitted his pure, calming tone throughout the bar. Mason had a confident stage presence as he communicated with the audience during his performance and in between his songs.

As the night progressed, Mason sang a personal song, which his parents helped him write. The song was titled “Waiter at the Station.”

More events like this will be coming to Louisville Zanzibar within the next month.
