The Courier-Journal is reporting Louisville senior wide receiver Doug Beaumont, will be out indefinitely after undergoing knee surgery Monday.  Head coach Charlie Strong said he is unsure how long Beaumont will be out, but he is sure to miss Saturday’s game at Arkansas State, ending his run of 27 consecutive starts for the Cards.

“We have enough players there, guys just have to play well,” Strong said in his weekly Big East teleconference. “When guys get the opportunity they have to do their job and guys are going to get the opportunity.”

The Cards will look more to Andrell Smith and Josh Bellamy, both who have been plagued by dropped passes through the first three games. Sophomore Scott Radcliff will likely move into Beaumont’s role in the slot.  The Cards have been without fellow senior starter Troy Pascley since the UK game, as well.
