     Senior Jeff Arnold finished his regular season home as a Cardinal with a 2-for-5 outing and a season high five RBI. The 10th ranked Cards soundly defeated Eastern Kentucky 14-3 for the final regular season game at Jim Patterson Stadium. Louisville finished 27-4 at home this season and are 43-10 overall, which is a team best since moving to Jim Patterson in 2005.

     Arnold, a Louisville Male High School product, scored twice and tied his career high RBI mark. Arnold wasn’t the only senior with success Tuesday night. Senior first baseman Andrew Clark had two hits and two RBIs, while senior shortstop Adam Duvall had two hits and an RBI. Louisville out hit EKU 15-7.

     Senior right hand pitcher Tyler Mathis improved to 2-0 on the season with two shutout innings with no hits and senior right hand pitcher Matt Lea successfully closed the game with two shutout innings.

     Louisville will finish the regular season with a three game Big East Conference series against Notre Dame. It will begin Thursday at 6 p.m. and will be televised on ESPNU. The series will be played on Friday and Saturday as well at 6 p.m. and 1 p.m. respectively.
