Eastern Parkway
Eastern Parkway and its side streets are popular spots for U of L students to reside. When the Eastern Parkway bridge construction is finished, the walk to Speed School and campus in general will be much shorter.
Number of bedrooms: May range from 2 to 5, average of 3
Distance from campus: Varies, but around 2 miles (20 minute walk)
Average age of residents: 25-30
Rent: Higher end – $500 Lower end – $200
“All of the houses are older, but in my opinion, better than any house in Old Louisville. It is a family residential area, so I feel extremely safe. Also, I have an easy walk to campus and my rent is reasonable. Everywhere else seems overpriced compared to this area.”
–Ben Cox, junior mechanical engineering major

“It’s a great place to live, the neighbors are all really friendly, and we’ve never had any problems with safety. It is only a short walk to campus, making it really convenient. And when it gets nice outside we are right across the street from Dairy K astle, which is a huge plus.”
