The photographer is under attack. As DSLRs become more affordable and ubiquitous, competition will continue to stiffen. On the other end of the spectrum, DSLRs are becoming equipped with technology to shoot high quality videos. There’s no need to wait for the perfect shot, if a video will do just fine. As the popularity of YouTube suggests, the world prefers moving pictures to stills. Photo composition is now more important than ever. As a photographer, I am always cataloging interesting scenes, locations and objects, and thinking about when they will become the most dramatic or compelling.
