“Lacrosse is not just a sport; it is a way of life,” said Kellie Young, University of Louisville lacrosse head coach.

This Friday, Sept. 25 at 3:30 p.m., the University of Louisville women’s lacrosse team will battle the Bellarmine men’s lacrosse team at the U of L Lacrosse Stadium. The match will have more meaning to it than just its boys vs. girls’ hype. The match is a fundraiser for the U of L lacrosse team, honoring Childhood Cancer Awareness month, as well the team’s adopted little sister, Emily Beck. The proceeds from the match will go to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

“Please come out and support this all-important effort,” said Young. “Three dollars and a few minutes of your time is all it takes. In return, you get to watch the local men’s and women’s Division I programs battling it out for a worthy cause.”
