Last Monday, there were three separate street crimes committed around the University of Louisville Health Sciences Campus.
At 5:34 a.m. in the morning, a U of L employee was robbed at gunpoint by man who escaped with her purse. He and two other men fled on bicycles.
At about 5:21 p.m., a man leaving the City Cafe at the HSC was punched in the face by a man who stole his wallet.
Around 11 p.m. two men robbed a man at gunpoint, and fled on bicycles.
Metro Louisville Police helped the Department of Public safety identify the suspect of the second crime, Eddie Darnell Leach, and he has been charged with robbery.
In response to the recent outbreak of crime around the HSC, University Police have increased their patrols around HSC during overnight hours.
