The University of Louisville baseball team beat Vanderbilt 5-3 Monday night to advance to the super regionals. U of L will face Cal State Fullerton in a best-of-three series in Fullerton next weekend.
The Cards won behind two strong performances from freshman: starting pitcher Tony Zych who threw six innings; second-baseman Ryan Wright who hit the go-ahead three-run home run in the fourth inning.
