The University of Louisville Board of Trustees voted to raise tuition another 5 percent next year, and to freeze the pay of university faculty.

The trustees voted to raise tuition the maximum amount allowed by the Kentucky Council of Postsecondary Education.  The CPE had set the 5 percent cap for in-state undergraduates attending U of L or the University of Kentucky.

Next year’s budget of $436 million is an increase of almost three percent over this year’s budget.
