I read the column titled "Park 51: Fighting over the mosque that's not" yesterday.  I thought it was very well written, but I can't agree with the conclusion.

The cover article on Sept. 7,  "Unbridled and Underrated,"  was a wonderfully inspiring synopsis of how vibrant Louisville has become over the past 10 years or so.

You see what happens when The Thinker writes a haiku? People do exactly what I asked! All this time I believed that, while I am an excellent thinker, my writing might be subpar at best.

If Lady Gaga feels compelled enough to speak, let us listen.

Recently, the United States commemorated the ninth anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001.

The statue on Third Street, in my opinion, should not be considered racist. It should be considered historical – a look back on where we were and a look forward to where we are today.

Driving around Louisville can be a real hassle. Roads are closed for construction, traffic is rerouted for sports events, rush hour turns the expressways into parking lots and, absolutely always, students are jaywalking.

If there's one thing I absolutely abhor, it is when my process of thought is interrupted. It's kind of my modus operandi.

Recently, we recognized the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina – a tragedy that devastated the Gulf Coast, flooded 80 percent of New Orleans and killed over 1,800 people.
