The cover article on Sept. 7,  “Unbridled and Underrated,”  was a wonderfully inspiring synopsis of how vibrant Louisville has become over the past 10 years or so.

When my wife and I decided to move here about six years ago, I just remember saying: “You want me to move where? Louisville, Kentucky?” Once here though, it didn’t take too long to fall in love with this place. Frankly, Louisville surprised us with its cosmopolitanism (We hail from Toronto.) , but it also charmed us with its friendliness, accessibility and commitment to the arts. There seemed to be a sense that this was a city with huge potential.

I hope others read your article and recognize what a gem of a city we live in. Similarly, I hope they start telling anyone who will listen that Louisville is a city on the rise. I was one of the people involved in the city-branding campaign for “Possibility City.”

It is only through spreading the word that we can expect to attract the coolest people, businesses and national attention that we rightfully deserve.

And I’d be remiss if I didn’t take this chance to plug the city’s ambassador group, Friend of Lou. Visit friendoflou.com for more information.
