Senators act on band issue

By Chris Brown The Louisville Cardinal Students were worried that they would be without an experienced instructor after the athletic department announced Jan. 31, it would be taking over the University of Louisville pep band and replacing Dr. Gregory Byrne with new director Alan Greener.

Being a member of the University of Louisville marching band, Evan Hudson was able to fulfill his dream - "to go to a BCS bowl and win." He is a sports nut. Soccer is his favorite, although he enjoys pretty much all sports, except baseball, which he feels "is boring, too many steroids, they get paid too much, and they play too many games," Hudson said.

‘The Visitors’ not worth visiting

The three-piece band straight out of New York uses fuzz-laden guitar licks and abrasive vocals to remind their audience that straight-laced, no-nonsense punk does still exist.

Speed Art Museum hosts PAMA & Passion party

Love just may have been in the air at the Speed Art Museum on Feb. 9, but then again, so were the sounds of live music, the aromas of hors d'oeuvers and the chatter of excited guests. The museum hosted an early Valentine's Day party entitled, "PAMA & Passion," which was open to the public and co-sponsored by PAMA, a vodka-pomegranate mixed liqueur.

McKnight isn’t the first or last
