One of the wildest women in Hollywood, Angelina Jolie has already left her mark in Hollywood, and she is only 27! Born on June 4, 1975, in Los Angeles, Jolie is the daughter of actor Jon Voight and actress/model Marcheline Bertrand, and she has become as famous as her parents. She has appeared in several popular movies with some of Hollywood’s finest; her films include Tomb Raider, Life or Something Like It, Gone In 60 Seconds, Girl, Interrupted, and The Bone Collector.
Besides being an incredible actress, Jolie has worked in London as a professional model. By doing this, she was able to get work in several music videos by acclaimed artists like Lenny Kravitz, Meat Loaf, and the Lemonheads. After a stint at New York University, she went to the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute to study film.
Though Jolie has done a lot in Hollywood, there was one incident that will probably follow her forever. At the 2000 Academy Awards, when she won for Best Supporting Actress for the movie Girl, Interrupted, Jolie gave her brother a open-mouth kiss… and it wasn’t just a peck, it was a passionate kiss. Hollywood began to question whether or not her brother did meant something more intimate to her. She fought back, stating, “We are family, we just love each other that much. I see no harm in what we did.”
Her other most interesting moment is her marriage to Billy Bob Thornton. When they got married, they took each others’ blood and put it in small vials. They exchanged the vials and wore them around their necks! Though they came off a little odd, they seemed in love; however, like most Hollywood marriages, it didn’t last. They broke up earlier this year, not too long after they adopted a child.
It’s a shame they divorced, because when they were out on the town, they were the center of attention. The press just loved the two of them together because they thought they didn’t really belong, yet they had fun… while it lasted.
Jolie has been on a wild ride, and as young as she is, she hasn’t even begun to tap her true potential. However, single or married, Angelina Jolie will surely make an even bigger impact in Hollywood, and it won’t just be on the big screen.
