We’re sorry for tricking you, but this editorial has absolutely nothing to do with sex, drugs or abortion.
Coming off the heals of a five-day journalism conference in Kansas City, Miss., The Cardinal editorial staff is looking for fresh and innovative ways to improve our little fish-wrap. We’ve got some ideas of our own, but we want to hear yours as well.
We hope to improve the paper in order to better inform, entertain and engage readers about what’s going on in this little niche of the world we call Louisville.
One of the changes you’ll see in the weeks ahead is the addition of a new entertainment section, featuring all the multimedia products hitting the stores that week, such as DVD, CD and video game releases.
We’ll also finally be able to take advantage of all the movie press kits that are spilling out of our mailbox, letting you know which flicks are worth your hard-earned $8 and which ones, for lack of better words, totally suck.
Students love music, so it only makes sense for us to follow local music trends, providing concert reviews along with profiles of local bands hoping to hit it big.
What else can we add to keep you interested in reading? Whether it be weekly crossword puzzles, comic strips or horoscopes, tell us what you’d like to see and we’ll do our best to deliver.
