A two day conference focusing on Kentucky’s energy practices begins this evening at 7 p.m. Energizing Kentucky is a collaboration between University of Louisville, University of Kentucky, Berea College and Centre College to provide Kentuckians more information about best practices in energy policy, with many international experts participating.
Tonight’s activities will begin with a keynote address by The New York Times columnist Thomas L. Friedman, author of “The World is Flat” and “The Earth is Hot, Flat, and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution and How It Can Renew America.” Friday’s activities will begin at 9 a.m. and will discuss energy-related topics specific to Kentucky, with over 250 people expected to attend.
