Pres. Ramsey to hold forum on tuition
University of Louisville President Dr. James R. Ramsey will be holding an open forum on tuition on today from 2:30-4 p.m. in the Floyd Theater of the Student Activities Center. Ramsey plans to address the factors that influence tuition increases and encourages students to bring questions.
Task force to discuss campus safety at U of L
The Governor’s Task Force on Campus Safety, created by Gov. Ernie Fletcher, will hold open forums throughout the state to allow students and staff to voice concerns about safety issues. Tonight, the task force will meet in the Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium media room on the fifth floor from 7-9 p.m.
SAB celebrates 2007 Int’l Women’s Day
In celebration of the 2007 International Women’s Day, the Student Activities Board plans to hold a spaghetti dinner featuring performances by several campus organizations as well as a keynote address by local newscaster Dawn Gee this tonight at 7 p.m. in the Red Barn.
Netmail fails to adjust to daylight savings
The University of Louisville Netmail system’s clocks are not yet adjusted for daylight savings time, according to the Miller Information Technology Center. Many email recorded times will be incorrect due to this, and the IT says it apologizes for the inconvenience and is working to fix the problem soon.
Renowned hand surgeon to visit U of L
Dr. Joseph Kutz, best known for performing the first successful hand transplant, will be giving a speech at the University of Louisville tomorrow discussing the life of a hand surgeon. The event, hosted by Phi Delta Epsilon, will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Chemistry building LL16. For more information, contact 744-0161.
Former Miss Ky. to honor U of L students of color
The University of Louisville will hold an African-American Recognition Reception Tues., March 27, at 6 p.m. in the SAC Multipurpose Room. The keynote speaker will be U of L graduate and former Miss Kentucky Monica Hardin. The RSVP deadline is March 23 at 852-3123.
