Financial aid workshop to benefit incoming U of L students

Future University of Louisville students and their parents can get a crash course on how to apply for financial aid Tues., March 10, from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. in the Horn Auditorium, College of Business.
Experts from U of L’s Office of Financial Aid will go over the 2009-2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form and explain the various programs available for financing higher education. The workshop is for admitted and transferring students from Jefferson County and surrounding areas.
“U of L wants to do everything it can to help families be prepared for college despite these tough times,” said Michael Abboud, associate director for financial aid.  “The application process for federal and state financial aid can be intimidating and overwhelming, so we like to walk our students through it line by line.”
