“For over a decade, students have registered complaints with SGA about the dining services available at the University of Louisville,” SGA stated online about dining services.
The SGA supports a policy that will force students to spend money on services that they’ve complained about – the mandatory meal plan. They think that increasing the business in the SAC will allow new establishments to boom because the existing businesses will decide to give up on an area where the customers are actually forced to spend money on their products.
The support of the mandatory meal plan is embarrassing. How many people realize that the SGA is supporting the administration in an action that could be considered extortion?
When I began working from midnight to 4 a.m. at U.P.S., I can assure you I didn’t do it so I could spend $250 a semester on fast food.
I challenge ALL students of this university to be more aware of decisions that affect them. You are the life force of this university and its future depends on your actions or lack thereof.
