The ladies of Kappa Delta are hosting their sixth annual Murder Mystery Dinner at the Galt House on Friday and Saturday, April 1 and 2. The event is a formal dinner featuring an interactive play. The show begins at 7 p.m. each night. The tickets, which are $30 dollars per person, can be purchased by e-mailing kappadeltammd@yahoo.com.

All money raised from ticket sales will go to Prevent Child Abuse America, which has worked to provide leadership and to promote and implement prevention efforts at both the national and local levels since 1972.

There will also be a silent auction going on simultaneously. Several baskets with themes such as U of L, Fun in the Sun and Night on the Town will be featured as auctioned items.

“We really enjoy doing the Murder Mystery Dinner. It is for such a great cause,” said junior Kelli Williams.

Members of KD are also selling wristbands for $1 each, similar to the yellow Livestrong bracelets that Lance Armstrong wears. The bracelets are blue and read, “Prevent child abuse.” The proceeds will go to the local chapter of PCA America as well.

PCA America is working with chapters in 39 states and Washington, D.C. Eighty percent of the money raised from the dinner will go to the local chapter of PCA America and the other 20 percent will go to the national chapter.
