Watching early local news reports for that list of closings due to weather, checking emails hoping for the message from school administration, wondering if one should go ahead and get out from under the safe and warm covers to shower and prepare just in case that message is not sent.

Every student of every school, whether it be elementary or college does the same thing when they awaken to a morning like Louisville residents did this morning.  The good news is – that email arrived early for University of Louisville students, staff and faculty.

Classes and the offices on campus are closed due to weather.  According to local weather men, it isn’t over yet.  The area is due to be hit with another wave of weather later today and tomorrow morning, so again, chances are good folks will be waiting for that email concerning tomorrows classes.

“Baby, it’s cold outside.”  And that fact combined with the continuous spray of whatever this is referred to that is freezing the walkways and roads to the likes of an ice skating rink, is going to make today and tomorrow interesting.

Check back in with louisvillecardinal.com through out the day for updates and information concerning U of L, and for added photos as they are received from staff and you the residents on campus.
