Will Scott will head to EnglandBy Catherin Laroche

University of Louisville men’s basketball senior guard Will Scott isn’t used to receiving standing ovations during games. However, Scott received two well-deserved standing ovations after it was announced that he would be attending one of England’s most prestigious schools: Oxford University.

With a 3.9 grade point average, Scott will be studying Modern Chinese Studies; which will be his second master’s degree. He is one of only 15 people in the entire world to be accepted annually into the program.

“This is an awesome opportunity for a very much deserving young man,” Rick Pitino, men’s basketball head coach, said. “We’re incredibly proud of Will and I know that the University of Louisville is as well, not only for his admittance but for those that someday desire to pursue a similar opportunity.”

On a side note, the Cards destroyed the University of South Florida Bulls 80-54 tonight in Freedom Hall. Approximately, 17,000 fans bared the ugly weather conditions and downed power to watch the Cards in action.
