After a upset win over nineteenth-ranked Michigan State of Thursday, Louisville returned home and picked up its third win of the season with a 75-42 victory over Valparaiso on Saturday.

The Cardinals (3-4) jumped out to a 15-0 lead in the first quarter sparked by consecutive three-pointers by Mariya Moore.

The sophomore finished with 12 points and five assists, shooting four of five from behind the arc.

Myisha Hines-Allen matched Moore with 12 points and pulled down six rebounds.

Coach Jeff Walz has been critical early in the season on his team’s defensive, but the Cardinals held Valpo to 13 of 46 shooting from the field and registered 12 steals and five blocks.

After putting together a strong performance against Michigan State, Cortnee Walton followed up Thursday’s game with eight points and 11 rebounds.

Freshmen Asia Durr and Erin DeGrate each had ten points.
