Final- Louisville defeats Kentucky 38-24.

1:57 fourth quarter- Jermaine Reve intercepts Kentucky quarterback Patrick Towles pass, Louisville takes over on the four yard line.

4:02 fourth quarter- Lamar Jackson scores on a QB keeper from 13 yards out after a 33 yard punt return by Jaire Alexander. Louisville leads Kentucky 38-24.

6:41 fourth quarter–James Quick down on the field after being drilled in the end zone with a near touchdown catch that fell incomplete. Louisville ball on the 37 yard line. 3rd and 8.

10:17 fourth quarter– Brandon Radcliff scores from four yards, Louisville takes a 31-24 lead. The 34 yard drive took 41 seconds.

10:58 fourth quarter- Kentucky called for kick catch interference, adding 15 yards to the start of Louisville’s drive.  The Cardinals will have the ball on the Kentucky 34 yard line. Louisville has held Kentucky to 16 yards of offense in the second half.

11:59 fourth quarter- Kentucky takes over at the 15 yard line. Game tied 24-24.

End of the third quarter- Louisville and Kentucky are tied 24-24. Louisville started the second half trailing 24-7. Three strong drives and solid defensive efforts have sparked the comeback.

2 seconds left in the third quarter- Louisville and Kentucky tied 24-24 after a 35 yard touchdown pass from Jackson to James Quick. The Louisville drive took 1:19 seconds, a drive before, Louisville marched 66 yards in 2:01.

2:40 third quarter- Jackson leads a nice 6 play-66 yard drive in 2:01 capped off by a six yard touchdown run by running back Brandon Radcliff. Kentucky leads Louisville 24-17.

4:41 third quarter- Louisville stops Kentucky, takes over on their own 34 yard line. Kentucky leads 24-10.

7:45 third quarter- John Wallace hits a 37 yard field goal. Kentucky leads 24-10.

Halftime- Kentucky leads Louisville 24-7. Kentucky has 17 points off Louisville turnovers, three interceptions. Kentucky owns the time of possession, 19:08 to 10:52. Kentucky holds the advantage on total yards, 208 to 164. Bad third down defense also plagued Louisville, Kentucky converted 6 of 9 third downs.

38 seconds left 2nd quarter- Timeout Louisville, Kentucky has the ball on the four yard line, leading 21-7. Louisville hasn’t been able to stop the run on this possession, Kentucky methodically marching the ball up the field.

4:33 second quarter- Louisville drives into the red zone, but Jackson throws an interception. Kentucky returns it for 25 yards, currently has the ball on the 44 yard line and calls a timeout. 3rd and five.

8:36 second quarter- Cardinal offensive lineman Kiola Mahoni down on the field. Louisville has the ball on Kentucky’s 40 yard line. 2nd and 5. Two plays earlier, Jackson tossed the ball to Reggie Bonnafon who threw the ball downfield to a streaking Jackson. The pass fell incomplete, but pass interference was called, so Louisville picked up the third down and three.

10:40 second quarter- After the Appleby punt, Louisville’s defense holds firm, and Kentucky kicker Austin MacGinnis is well short on a 51 yard field goal attempt. Louisville takes over on the 34 yard line.

12:19 second quarter- Punter Josh Appleby shanks a punt, Kentucky will take over on the 25 yard line, leading 21-7.

End of the first quarter- Kentucky leads Louisville 21-7. The second quarter will start with Kentucky ball on the Louisville 45 yard line, 2nd and 10. Kentucky has the edge in total yards 148 to 128, but two touchdowns came off turnovers.

1:10 first quarter- After Louisville forces a fumble recovered by James Burgess, the Cardinals go three and out. Kentucky ball on the 22 yard line.

3:21 first quarter- Jackson leads the offense on a 3 plays 57 yard drive that ends with the freshman running for a 16 yard touchdown. Jackson’s eighth rushing touchdown ties a school record for rushing scores in a year for a quarterback.

Lamar Jackson replaces Bolin at quarterback on Louisville’s third possession.

Bolin throws another interception, this time, its returned for an 81 yard touchdown. Kentucky leads Louisville 21-0. 4:42 first quarter.

On Louisville’s opening drive, Bolin throws an interceptioin that is returned 35 yards that sets up Kentucky on the 14 yard line. Boom Williams scores from six yards a few plays later to put Kentucky up 14-0. 7:30 in the first quarter.

9:15 first quarter- Kentucky marches down the field with 10 play 75 yard drive in 5:45 capped off by a one yard touchdown by Drew Barker. Kentucky leads 7-0.

Outside linebacker Trevon Young and defensive lineman James Hearns have been suspended for the game due to violation of team rules. Two potent pass rushers, the loss of Young and Hearns will hurt Louisville’s front seven.

Louisville takes on in-state rival Kentucky in the final game of the regular season in Commonwealth Stadium at Lexington, KY.
