The UofL Department of Communication is giving away computers and monitors absolutely free, no strings attached, on Tuesday, March 10!
According to an all points bulletin e-mail sent by the department, they have upgraded their labs with faster machines so they have a large number of computers and monitors that need good homes. These computers are perfect for home use for virtually any school work or project. All machines are Dells with hard drives wiped clean/blank, in good, working
order and come equipped with at least:
* 20 GB Hard Drive * CD & Floppy Drives
* 256 MB of RAM * Multiple USB Ports
* Monitors are standard 17-inch Dell
Computers and monitors available on a first-come, first-served basis and you will need to take them home within 24 hours. Please bring your UofL student ID. One computer and monitor per student. No guarantees/warranties on these machines. Once you take it, you own it/no technical assistance available from the UofL Department of Communication. Students may need to purchase cables and peripherals (i.e. keyboards) to make computers operational.
