University of Louisville spokesman John Drees gave an update on the committees formed to investigate university policy in light of the investigation into former College of Education and Human Development dean Robert Felner.  Felner is currently under indictment on income tax evasion, mail fraud and money laundering.

Drees had no new information on the findings of the committees, but did say that their findings would be released to the public soon. He said that the committee to investigate the faculty grievance process, which was allegedly abused by Felner, will have a report on its findings by December 5.

The committee formed to investigate administrative and managerial practices has completed its work and has submitted a report that will be seen by Provost Shirley Willihnganz in the coming days. According to Drees, the Thanksgiving holiday may slow things down a bit.

The Blue Ribbon committee, appointed by President Ramsey to investigate the awarding of a Ph.D. to former U of L student John Deasy who allegedly only studied at the university for a semester, has not completed its work and Drees gave no indication of when it would be completed.
