Last week The Louisville Cardinal published a column by Darren McVey entitled “Gay agenda, U of L promoting societal problems” that sparked quite an uproar among readers. Many agreed with McVey’s stance and enjoyed the column, however, many others thought it was inappropriate and didn’t belong in the newspaper.
At The Cardinal we welcome both positions because we believe that the Opinion page is vital in acting as a forum by creating discussion, presenting new ideas and various beliefs and acting as a voice for the students and its campus.
