The University of Louisville equestrian team will be sending four riders to regionals at Morehead State University this Saturday.
The equestrian team, which is a part of the Equine Business riding and racing club, was reserved champion high point team for the University of Kentucky show hosted at Lakeside Arena in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Sophomore equine business major Liz Crow, junior equine business major Laurel Oswell and sophomore business major Stephanie Beachy qualified for regionals in the Hunter Seat Equitation Over Fences division. Senior equine business major Stacey Mahlmeister qualified in the Western Seat Equitation division.
The hunt seat team is coached by Angela Walker, and the western team is coached by Rusty Rea.
The Cards will be competing against Xavier University, University of Cincinnati, University of Kentucky, Morehead and Midway College.
