Rice High sophomore Lamont Jones verbally committed to Rick Pitino and the University of Louisville this weekend. The 5-foot-11 point guard, said that he committed to Pitino back during the summer.

Scout.com lists Jones as a clutch player with three point range who has the ability to catch and shoot. Jones, who goes by the nickname of “MoMo” is the first player from the class of 2009 to verbally commit to the Cards.
