An alleged “acquaintance” wielding a handgun gained access to the room of a female resident of Community Park dorms on April 2, according to a crime alert released by the University of Louisville Department of Public Safety.
The report stated once the suspect, Roderick Williams Jr., was inside the victim’s room, he requested access to a neighboring room through an adjoining bathroom.
Williams allegedly entered that room and pointed his gun at a male inside. A physical fight between the men ensued but ended when Williams realized the male was not who he was looking for and fled the area, the report stated.
DPS officials were unavailable for comment before press time.
Williams, who is not a U of L student, is still at-large. The report described Williams as a black Hispanic male, 5-foot-2, 130 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
