The perennial question of the holiday season is, “What are we going to do on New Year’s Eve?” Parties, nightclubs and concerts around town amount to plenty of New Year’s Eve night life, and this year your only question will be which one to attend.
If you want to dance into 2006 to great music, you have several options. To add a little hip-hop to the holidays, Headliner’s Music Hall is featuring the Villebillies, who recently signed to Universal Records. The doors will open at 8 p.m., and tickets are available at ear X-tacy on Bardstown Road.
The Phoenix Hill Tavern is hosting “The Last Blast! New Year’s Eve Celebration,” featuring 99 mph, Jefferson TARC Bus and King Sonic. At Jim Porter’s, Leigha Johnson & Tone Control, Sigmund Fudd and the Boogie Men will be performing. Both Jim Porter’s and Phoenix Hill Tavern will have a midnight ball drop and champagne toast. O’Malley’s Corner will also host a ball drop and champagne toast, and Coyote’s will have High Noon performing.
Zooaville Events is hosting the so-called most original New Year’s Eve celebration in town, Zoo Year’s Eve, featuring a Breakdance Battle, runway shows, and a walk-off Ã
