The Kentucky State Fair kicked off its 101st year on Aug. 18; the annual event continues at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center until Aug. 28. The fair is $7 for adult admission and $5 for parking — tickets for rides at the midway and Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom are available separately, and there’s plenty of fair food for everyone.
Exhibit areas are open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day; gates open at 7 a.m.
Cumberland Valley Midway and Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom:
Tuesday-Friday — 4-10 p.m.
Saturday — Noon to midnight
Sunday — Noon to 10 p.m.
