On Wednesday after noon, Conference USA named it to awards tabbingMarquette with both. Sophomore guard Dwyane Wade and head coach TomCrean were named Conference Player and Coach of the Year.
Wade led the conference in scoring (21.7 ppg), ninth in assists(4.12), eighth in field goal percentage (.509) and second in theleague with 2.23 steals per game. Wade was also named C-USAdefensive player of the year.
Crean repeats as C-USA Coach of the Year and becomes the onlycoach other than Cincinnati’s Bob Huggins to accomplish such afeat.
