U of L red shirt freshman wide receiver Broderick Clark had a 100 yard kickoff return for a touchdown which was the fourth 100 yard kickoff return for a touchdown in school history, and the first since 1968.

Louisville senior quarterback Dave Ragone completed 14 passes to 8 different receivers for 193 yards, and was sacked three times. Ragone’s record as a starter has fallen to 20-6.

In his first collegiate start, sophomore running back Lionel Gates rushed for eight yards on eight carries.

With a crowd of 42,660, Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium set a new attendance record.

Junior defensive end Dewayne White had a second quarter sack of UK quarterback Jared Lorenzen. It was the 28th sack of his career which ties with East Carolina’s Roderick Coleman for fourth place on the league’s career sack list.

Defensive lineman Bobby Leffew suffered a sprained knee and is expected to be out approximately four weeks.

Junior college transfer, wide receiver James Taylor will redshirt this season due to depth at his position.
