Parking promises to be just as frenetic as U of L/ UK game

This Sunday marks the annual U of L versus UK football game at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. While the game will likely prove ferocious and intense, the on campus parking situation should prove no different.

The Floyd Street parking garage, as well as all on-street parking on Floyd Street, is available only to permit holders through the Athletic Office. Although regular Sunday parking policy-all on campus parking is open to the public-still applies, the parking department will be manning the yellow lots, applicable only to campus residents.

“The only thing we will protect is resident parking,” said Doreen Wood, Assistant Director of University Parking.

For those students trying to park on campus on Sunday, the regular trials and tribulations of parking will likely be multiplied by the flux of football fans.

The only green lot that will remain available for students will be the lot by the Speed School.
