He's not Brian Brohm, nor will he ever be considered a Heisman candidate, but junior Cory Thorne has made a name for himself as one of the premier runners nationally in cross country. He was an integral part of the 2007 men's cross country team which brought the University of Louisville its' first Big East title in the sport, and a school record ninth place finish at the NCAA championships two weeks ago.

Plan rejected, tuition increase expected

When the University of Louisville Board of Trustees met Thursday, it seemed its 2020 Business Plan was under attack from all sides. Earlier this month, the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education rejected U of L's plan, which required $31 million in funding from the state.

Where are you Christmas? Aside from the pre-lit, fiber optic, two-foot-tall tree in my apartment, I can't seem to find any Christmas on campus, commercial or otherwise. As my second Christmas of college approaches, I notice no signs anywhere: no trees, no lights, no holiday spirit.

Editorial: Health center should stay where it belongs: on-campus

Relocating the student health center won't keep the doctor away, however, it'll only keep students away. The current health services center is located between the Student Activities Center and the Houchens building. It is, however, in need of more space; space that the current building cannot provide. The university has purchased a building for this purpose, but its remote location has drawn the criticism of many, including the Student Government Association.

The athletic department is asking all fans to blackout for the game against Rutgers University. No, they haven't come to the realization that getting blackout drunk is the only way to watch a 5-6 team play in sub freezing weather, instead they obviously know that black is the proper color to any funeral.
