Three U of L researchers have helped identify a key protein in the middle of membranous nephropathy. 

Governor Steve Beshear named a reverend, optometrist and investment director to the University of Louisville Board of Trustees.  The three new trustees are replacements for trustees whose terms are expiring.

The university has installed a new solar-powered trash recepticle on campus. 

Lester Goetzinger was charged in a federal court with aiding and abbeting Karen Sypher in her alleged attempt to extort U of L head basektball coach Rick Pitino.
 

The University of Louisville received a $900,000 National Institutes of Health grant, to test a new procedure for treating autism.

Terrance Williams and Earl Clark were both selected in the first-round of the NBA draft Thursday night.  Williams was the 11th overall pick, going to the New Jersey Nets, while Clark was the 14th overall pick, signing with the Phoenix Suns.

The University of Louisville Board of Trustees voted to raise tuition another 5 percent next year, and to freeze the pay of university faculty. 

Former Holy Cross head coach Ralph Willard was name associate head coach at the University of Louisville Wednesday.  Willard coached under U of L head coach Rick Pitino at the New York Knicks, and also at the University of Kentucky.
