I have a very simple and easy to digest message for you all: I’m The Thinker. I’m not The Knower. I’ve been told that you higher educated readers have started to roll in with opinions, or letters to the editor as they’re known in many circles.
Does this truly concern me, The Thinker? No, plain and simple. But now everyone’s all like: “Oh, I wonder what The Thinker would have to say about this and what his opinion is on this trivial matter… blah, blah, blah.”
I enjoy simple pleasures. I like sitting. I like thinking. And you already know I just love being green.
I believe it was Aaron Burr who uttered the phrase, “It’s not easy being green.” Of course, he said it just before he capped Alexander Hamilton. Well, Burr was right. It’s not easy. I don’t want to hear all of your drab commentary on everything you think totally sucks. But I know some folks who do.
You want to try your hand at being a thinker? I mean, you can’t be The Thinker, but you can easily be a thinker. Express whatever’s on that collegiate head of yours. You can e-mail my employer by typing in editor@louisvillecardinal.com on your little Internet machine. Additionally, most of you must have no idea that the newspaper has a website, which is louisvillecardinal.com. Here’s a mnemonic device to help you remember this, in the form of a wonderful haiku I am currently calling “Stargazer Infinite.”
I think, therefore I
think you should read the
paper
on the Internet.
Oh the wonder of the haiku and the beautiful form of poetic song!
