University of Louisville President Neeli Bendapudi announced the formal launch of her new strategic plan developmental process.

Students, faculty and staff were first notified Nov. 19 when Bendapudi sent a newsletter out to campus. The newsletter said she was putting together a Strategic Plan Executive Committee to plan and frame the strategic planning process.

Bendapudi announced the formal launch Jan. 17 with an email saying that more than 400 people wrote ideas and comments on their website.

She will announce more details Jan. 24 at 8:30 a.m. in the SAC Ballroom. The formal launch will be livestreamed and uploaded on the strategic-plan website as well.

“I commit to having frequent updates with you through our strategic planning website and campus emails, as well as providing opportunities for you to share feedback throughout the process,” said Bendapudi.

This is part of Bendapudi’s theme of making U of L a great place to learn, work and invest.

The website lists the value statement as Bendapudi’s acronym for C.A.R.D.I.N.AL.
