Man arrested after string of burglaries at U of L

U of L Police arrested a man who allegedly stole a set of master keys and committed a string of burglaries on the Health Science Campus.

The arrest came Friday, but police say the burglaries date back to Sept. 2014. Then 17-year-old Romeo Tolbert allegedly stole a set of master keys from the Instructional Building. The same day, Tolbert allegedly stole a ThinkPad laptop.

In Sept. 2015, police say Tolbert returned and stole multiple MacBooks and iPads. A month later, Tolbert allegedly stole another MacBook from the same building. According to arrest records, Tolbert returned later in October to steal a smartphone.

Two months later in Dec. 2015, Tolbert allegedly stole more MacBooks and iPads, this time causing damage to the office door.
