According to Louisville Metro Police, a U of L Hospital mental patient assaulted three employees Thursday night.
First reported by WDRB, LMPD received reports of the patient allegedly attacking two security guards and a nurse. Injuries among the employees included a broken ankle, large cuts and a punch to the head that knocked one unconscious.
Police arrested the suspect, whose name has not been released, and charged him with two counts of second degree assault and one count of fourth degree assault. A doctor told police the suspect is competent enough to face charges.
