A robbery occurred on Belknap Boulevard at around 4 a.m. March 16 according to a rave alert.
University of Louisville Police responded to the situation.
No arrests or suspects have been made at this time.
According the ULPD significant activity report, officers were waved down by a university employee who claimed he was robbed.
The victim said two black males in a small white car approached him on Belknap Boulevard near the entrance to the new Research area as he was leaving work.
One male got out of the car, produced what the victim believes was a revolver and demanded money.
The employee said he did not have money and was punched in the face by the suspect.
The suspects left towards Third Street before the victim later flagged down officers.
He was transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident follows a robbery earlier in the week near the PNC Bank and Cardinal Towne.
A university student there was robbed by a suspect who threatening with a gun, though one was not produced.
No arrests were made in connection to the case.
According to ULPD crime logs, this is the fifth reported robbery this academic year.
The suspects for this case were both black males. One wore black shorts and a black hoodie, and appeared to be between 18 and 25-years-old.
Students are advised to be cautious and contact police if suspects matching the description are in the area.
